FAQs
Everything you need to know about the program.
CSPL is designed for anyone who leads and coaches others. This includes people leaders, managers, internal consultants or HR business partners, project managers, and coaches who want to develop stronger communication, listening, and leadership skills.
CSPL is led by Philippa Strelitz, PhD, our Head of Executive Coaching. Philippa brings deep expertise in leadership coaching, organizational development, and supporting leaders through complex change. CSPL is supported by Jess Finnigan, our Coaching Program Manager. Jess also has experience coaching senior leaders and brings deep expertise in operations and organizational growth.
Participants will learn a variety of coaching skills and capabilities, including effective feedback and communication, active listening, skillful questions, self management, and intentional leadership.
Participants can join with or without previous coaching experience. For those with coaching experience, CSPL is a great opportunity to further develop and strengthen your skills and prepare to teach coaching skills to others.
The CSPL is a 3-month long program, which includes four virtual classes (2 hours each) and one virtual lab session (1 hour). CSPL also includes a coaching practicum that encompasses 8-10 hours of live coaching experience. The total program time commitment is around 18 hours.
This program is delivered online in live, interactive sessions. While the classes and labs are virtual, participants may engage in peer coaching that is either in-person or virtual.
In total, participants have the ability to gain 8-10 hours of coaching experience. Alongside learning key skills and techniques in the classes, participants will complete eight peer coaching sessions (45-60 min each) that provide participants with the opportunity to put their coaching skills into action.
As part of the program, participants will complete a coaching validation to assess their acquired coaching skills and techniques. Participants are expected to record at least part of one of their peer coaching sessions and submit it to the program lead for review. Upon review, participants will receive thorough feedback on their coaching strengths and areas for improvement, along with a certificate of completion.
Participants can earn a certificate of completion for the CSPL if they complete their coaching validation. Upon completion and acceptance of the validation, participants will receive a PDF certificate and an online completion badge. Both can be posted on LinkedIn.
Completing the CSPL will not only accelerate your own growth, but facilitates the growth of those around you. You will see increased performance in those you manage, higher confidence in your decisions around when to manage vs. coach others, and greater enablement in growing and developing others.
